What we do with what you tell us

Plain version: we take your name and a way to reach you so a person can ring you back, and we tell Facebook that an enquiry happened so our advertising is not wasted. That is the whole of it.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry on this site we ask for your name, a phone number or an email address, your city, and what you would like to ask about. Nothing else on the form is required. If you reach us through a Facebook or Instagram lead form instead, we receive the same details from Meta, because that is what you filled in there.

We do not ask for, and this website cannot take, card details or bank details. Orders are agreed on the phone.

What we do with it

Your enquiry is stored in our own system so that a member of our team can call you back and so we can see what was said last time if you ring again. It is used to answer you and to arrange a delivery. We do not sell it and we do not pass it to anybody who is not delivering your order.

Facebook and Instagram advertising

This site carries the Meta Pixel, and we also send Meta a record of enquiries from our own server. This is how we know which advertisements are worth paying for. Two things are worth saying plainly about it:

  • Your email address and phone number are turned into an irreversible code before they are sent. Meta receives the code, never the number itself.
  • Meta sets two cookies on this site, _fbp and _fbc, which is how a click on an advertisement and an enquiry are matched to each other. We also set one cookie of our own to keep staff signed in to the office system. There are no other cookies on this site, and we do not run Google Analytics.

How long we keep it

An enquiry is kept while you are a customer and afterwards, because someone who rings back in a year should not have to start again. An enquiry our team marks as spam is deleted permanently after the retention window set in our system, which is 180 days unless we have changed it.

What you can ask us to do

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us using the contact details on this site and we will do it. If you ask us to delete your details we will, except where we have to keep a record of an order we have already fulfilled.

Children

This site is not intended for anybody under 18 and we do not knowingly take enquiries from children.

Still to be filled in by us: our registered business name and postal address, which belong at the end of this page.

A question about your data

Ask us. A policy nobody can get an answer about is not much of a policy.
